CineCubo is the film club hosted by the Institute of Architects of Brazil, aimed at fostering dialogue between audiovisual and architectural languages and debating perspectives on the city. Every third Tuesday of the month at 7:30 PM, CineCubo screens films followed by a discussion at the IAB-SP headquarters. Curated and moderated by Nana Maiolini, Travessia Filmes, and guests, the sessions are free and open to the general public.
The Discrete Structures workshop aims to explore the development of 1:1 material organizations, constrained by the design of geometrically discrete components. During the activity, participants will be introduced to parametric design tools and digital fabrication. The four-day workshop will culminate in the construction of a timber installation on the final day.

The 7th International Meeting on City, Contemporaneity, and Urban Morphology (EICCMU) is currently in its 7th edition, reaffirming the intersection of diverse approaches to urbanism. The event has been supported by FAPERGS (Research Support Foundation of the State of Rio Grande do Sul) and PROGRAU (Graduate Program in Architecture and Urbanism) since its inception. It will take place from November 7 to 9, 2018, at the Center for Graduate Studies and Research in Human, Social, and Applied Social Sciences, Arts, and Language (CEHUS) at the Federal University of Pelotas, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. The event is organized by PROGRAU, the Urbanism Laboratory (LabUrb), the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism (FAUrb), and the Federal University of Pelotas (UFPel).
The third edition of the Architecture Students Seminar (SEA), aimed at architecture students, professionals, and the general public in Ecuador, will take place on January 25–26, 2019. Organized by the National Organization of Architecture Students (ONEA Ecuador) in collaboration with the Universidad Laica Eloy Alfaro, the University of Guayaquil, the Catholic University of Santiago de Guayaquil, and the Indoamerica Technological University, the event will be hosted at the Universidad Laica Eloy Alfaro.

This Saturday, December 15, marks the launch of the first edition of Envolvente magazine, a publication dedicated to promoting and recognizing local architecture by fostering critical discourse and opinion on relevant topics in architecture, design, and urbanism. Envolvente creates a space for critical reading, as we believe that architecture is defined not only by its imagery but also by its underlying argument.
