The theme for this year's 15th Architecture Congress is Bioarchitecture: "A Natural Approach." This event is organized by students from the Faculty of Architecture who aim to promote knowledge of the architecture being produced both locally and globally. Bioarchitecture focuses on creating healthy spaces using materials that do not harm the environment and can be integrated into the natural context. This approach requires a balance between construction, the natural environment, and society, while fostering an awareness that architecture must be grounded in natural principles. For the first time, LIGA presents the work of a Cuban architecture firm: Infraestudio. The studio, led by Anadis González and Fernando Martirena, addresses various conflicts and challenges in its daily practice, including job insecurity in a context where private architecture is illegal. NIEBLA is the first solo exhibition by Erik López. Drawing from the concept of "brain fog"—a neurological phenomenon characterized by memory loss, difficulty finding words, and feeling overwhelmed by simple daily tasks—NIEBLA presents a selection of works produced between 2020 and 2021 by photographer, museographer, and digital artist Erik López.
