The kobi collection designed by Patrick Norguet has been further extended to include two new models for outdoor. Elegant, lightweight and highly contemporary, kobi sledge is a chair whose characteristic shell combines seat and backrest; practical and versatile, the stool version called kobi stool is available in two heights and its shell performs a seat function only. Both models, as indeed the entire kobi collection, are inspired by the wire chair tradition, whose seats are characterized by woven soldered round steel wire that is secured to a sledge structure, enamel painted in various colours. The new variant for outdoor use features imitation leather cushions designed to adhere perfectly to the seat, achieving a fully integrated visual effect, while ensuring a high degree of comfort, and making kobi sledge the ideal choice for open-air settings.

To celebrate the centennial of the designer’s birth, at the Salone del Mobile 2015 the classic Side Chair will be presented in a new version with chromium-plated steel rod structure and a polypropylene seat in different colors, in a special “Anniversary Edition.” A modern, colorful take on an inimitable creation, faithfully replicating its unique, linear design, the new chair stands out for its extremely comfortable seat and its way of adapting to the widest range of contexts, from residential to contract. HEE DINING CHAIR The philosophy behind the Hee Series was to take an archetypal chair and perfect it down to the last detail while cutting the essentials to the bone. The goal was to create a contemporary chair to fit into a wide range of contexts. The attempt was a great success, resulting in the pragmatic and easily decoded Hee series. Like a line drawing, it wraps metres of metal wire into neat, straight lines in three versions: bar stool, lounge chair and dining chair. The metal wire is electro-galvanized before it is lacquered, making it rust-resistant and perfect for outdoor use. Like the rest of Hee Welling’s chair series, the Hee Dining chair is stripped down to the bare essentials without compromising functionality or comfort. Stackable and weather-proof, the versatile Hee Dining Chair can be used for outdoor dining, as well as inside restaurants, offices and in the home. The frame is a welded steel construction with rods in polish, satin chrome or bonded Rilsan. Seat cushions secure to chair with lock-snaps. The unupholstered chair in Rilsan are also appropriate for outdoor environments. The side chair frame is available in polish or satin chrome, and black or white Rilsan finishing.
