The New York Landmarks Conservancy has announced Apple, Inc. as the recipient of its 2016 Chairman’s Award “for their contribution to preserving, restoring, and repurposing notable historic structures in New York City.”
Apple has created four stores in New York City historic buildings: at Grand Central Terminal, at 103 Price Street in the SoHo Historic District, at 401 W. 14th Street in the Gansevoort Market Historic District, and at 940 Madison Avenue in the Upper East Side Historic District.
Apple will officially receive the award at a ceremony on March 9 in New York.
