The AIAS has launched a new campaign, the Professional Advancement Support Scholarship, or PASS. The program, available for AIAS alumni pursuing licensure, provides incentive for recent graduates to take a portion of the Architect Registration Examination (ARE) by reimbursing them for successfully undertaking this task. Through a proactive approach, coupled with an informative blog series, the AIAS encourages aspiring architects to actively seek licensure to kick-start their professional careers.
During its initial year, PASS will reimburse the equivalent of one division of the ARE costs for up to 100 students, an amount of $210 each. In addition to the financial assistance, a supplemental informational campaign will further promote early licensure. Dubbed the 7-in-7 Campaign, AIAS National President Charlie Klecha will prepare for all seven divisions of the ARE and document the process through weekly blog posts and videos, ultimately taking them back to back the week of May 27. The seven week series will provide both information and helpful resources related to the exam.
