Make It Right, the organization formed by Brad Pitt that builds affordable and sustainable houses for people in need, has released a series of new single-family home designs by local architects to expand their efforts in Kansas City, Missouri. The new homes will become part of Make it Right's established work in Manheim Park, complementing the affordable housing and community complex opened by the organization in 2013.

Each of the new house designs adheres to LEED Platinum standards, making them the most environmentally-friendly option for the community. Additional strides in sustainability are made through the Cradle to Cradle design approach, which caters to the specific needs of the residents and creates an environment that utilizes solar power, is conscious of water waste, and produces more energy than it uses. Reflecting on the expanding community, Make It Right's Innovations Director Tim Duggan stated, "Block by block, we believe that Manheim Park can become the most vibrant, desirable neighborhood in Kansas City."
