The KH+DH Houses designed by Vladimir Kalinowski aim to accomodate two elderly couples. Conceptualized around the idea of a centrally located courtyard, the homes are connected both visual and programmatically by the garden. The relationship between inside and outside also became a crucial aspect of the quality of space.

The design of the houses with a centralized courtyard created a place where couples can meet and socialize. The main rooms of the two houses are oriented to a garden. Visually the bedroom extends outward, creating the feeling of openness of space, while ensuring good natural lighting and ventilation. The main program of the house was located on the ground floor, allowing it to work on one level. Due to customer demand, additional rooms for guests, were adjusted on the first floor.
