UArchitects has, in cooperation with LENS°ASS architecten from Hasselt , won a competition for a new school building The Bridge in Bocholt, Belgium. The special sustainable school is in the form of a circle in an effort to engage the neighborhood into the school with activities and possibilities of an extension.

The program of the sustainable school is a reflection of the neighborhood. It is designed in such a way as to be flexible for a variety of uses within the sphere of education. The school is intended to be used as a theater as well as for evening education. In the evening it is a light beacon, giving visitors and uses a sense of safety. It is not a welcome gesture to the society but it also forms a bridge to the future with a desire to create new experiences for education.
