Open Architectural Competition: Future School for Ukraine Project

We encourage visionaries from around the globe to apply for the competition and design the next-generation schools for Ukraine. We aim to rebuild Ukraine's educational spaces, making them more resilient, safe, and innovative.

Why Participate?

👉Help transform the educational landscape in war-affected Ukraine.
👉Top three projects will be awarded €8,000 to €12,000, with the winner receiving a €300,000 contract to develop their innovative school project design.
👉Teams must include at least one architect licensed in Ukraine and one international architect, encouraging worldwide collaboration.

The competition boasts an esteemed panel of international architects, including Carl Bäckstrand (Sweden), Helena Sandman (Finland), Rolandas Palekas, Viktorija Blažienė (Lithuania), and Viktor Zotov (Ukraine). Joining them are Ukrainian education specialists, Lithuanian CPMA representatives, and notably, Mustafa Nayyem, the head of the Agency for Restoration.

This project, initiated by the Lithuanian government and implemented in partnership with the Agency for Restoration and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, is a testament to the power of collaboration. With €500,000 allocated by the Lithuanian Fund for Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid, we're set to expedite the reconstruction of educational facilities, offering high-quality, sustainable designs free to communities and donors.
